Club Golden Key is a licensed brothel and sex club in Oud-West, Amsterdam. We have hosted guests at Overtoom 294 since 1986, run by the same family the whole time. The bar and the lounge are one room: a drink first, then the introductions. Six private suites lead off from there, one on the ground floor and five above. What happens in any of them is settled in conversation, not on a website.

We are not the largest brothel in Amsterdam, and we have never tried to be. What we are is small, quiet, and deliberately under the radar. No prices online, no profiles, no street-facing display. Discretion runs in both directions, and that is what most of our guests come back for.

What to expect

Your first visit, in plain language.

You walk in off the Overtoom, the host welcomes you, and walks you to the bar. Leather and golden palms. Warm light, a quiet drink at the bar. No rush. After a few minutes the host walks you past the women who are there that evening. The choice is yours, not theirs. He helps with the introductions if you want; the women never approach you.

What happens in the suite is agreed beforehand, in conversation, never on a profile or a price card. Payment is settled with the house, never directly with anyone you meet, in cash or by card. The pace is the older Amsterdam pace: the bar first, then the conversation, then the suite if that is where the evening goes. Most of our guests tell us that rhythm is what they come back for.

How to find us

Overtoom 294, two minutes from the Vondelpark.

Our front door is on the Overtoom, the avenue that runs from the Leidseplein to the Vondelpark, about a hundred metres from the main park gate.

From Amsterdam Central, ten to fifteen minutes by taxi via the Marnixstraat. From Schiphol, twenty to thirty minutes by taxi, depending on traffic. Tram 1 runs along the Overtoom and stops within a short walk.

Far enough from the Red Light District to feel private, close enough to the centre to be easy to reach.

Club Golden Key opened in 1986 and has welcomed guests at the same address ever since. We are the oldest licensed brothel in Amsterdam still run by the same family. That is not a marketing claim, it is a municipal record. Our exploitatievergunning has been on file with the Gemeente Amsterdam since the law required it in 2000, and has been renewed without interruption since.

Venues in this trade come and go. The houses that last are the ones that have built a relationship with the city, with the women who work in them, and with the guests who come back. The women who join us tend to stay for years. Some of our guests have been coming for twenty or thirty years now.
